Sir,
You will very much oblige one by forwarding to the proper disbursing officer, at this place the amount of the award granted to me agreeably to Schedule “B” under the 4th Article of the treaty of the 14th of January 1837 with the Chippewas of Saginaw, being $400. Also the sum of $200 allowed Moran or Chemoquemont under the same treaty. The department confer a great favor by making early remittance of the above amounts as we are very much in want of it.
